Welcome

This life that we share with you is as precious as precious gets.

We have this blog so that we may keep our friends and family updated on stories, pictures, brags, and concerns. As well as, for our friends that have been blessed with an extra chromosome. Our kids will make their way! ;-)

Just catching up

I can't believe how long it's been since I updated a post here. I guess I'm not a very good blogger these days. Especially with getting my photography business up and going. Link up there somewhere.

K, on to Lana. Let me get you caught up a bit. She's now 3!!! We had a great party for her. All of her family from Houston came up to celebrate with us and then we had most of our family from this area here. We had a great time celebrating "LANA". She's just amazing.

She's been in preschool this year and has done really well. She initially started at a private school, but when she turned 3 she transitioned to the local public school PPCD program, but kept going to her private school on Monday's and Wednesday's. This proved to work out perfectly. She enjoyed both locations and made friends easily.

She's still a little thing, but can handle her own. She's actually a little bully at times, but in a sweet way.
A month ago she had an adenoidectomy and ear tubes placed. They said she had so much fluid that she could barely hear. That’s surprising because she managed really well, but of course her speech is delayed. She’s doing better already. She’s said some words that she couldn’t have just over a month ago.

It's summer break now and we're off to a good start with spending quality time together with lots of lovin' and cuddling.

So until next time, enjoy your days.

I'll post pictures from her party soon.

Extra, Extra, Read all about it

LANA'S WALKING!!!

She's now transitioned well from crawling to walking. Her primary desire is to walk. She's so incredibly cute balancing and taking on new textures beneath her feet. This is one of the sweetest moments that I've experienced as a parent. After waiting so long, then forgeting to wait, and instead enjoying the length of time with each milestone, realizing that life passes by way to fast to rush things. Now going through this 25 months journey to walking with Lana I've realized that all kids should walk at 2. Time goes by way too fast and we're always in the fast lane. With Lana I'm thankful that we're able to slow down and enjoy the moments that last just as they should. Moments to cherish for a lifetime.

Video will be posted soon!

I can do it myself!

Thanks to my friend Bethany, owner of http://www.thepolkadotplatypus.com/ , Lana is beautifully sporting a new fabulous shirt that captures her spirit and her ability to make her way. And with this came some new skills. We're so proud of her!!!

Enjoy and please let us know you were here by leaving comments on Lana's blog.

Walking with one hand

Lana's now walking around with only holding one of my hands... well she can also only hold her baby dolls hand while I hold the other baby hand. So she's almost walking on her own. :D I'm so proud of her!

We bought her some squeaky shoes for her birthday and they seem to be giving her that extra bit of encouragement as she enjoys hearing the squeak. Cute huh?

The stairs

She's now climbing down the stairs. She's so cute and cautious about doing it. I'll try to get some video uploaded soon.

Yesterday, while I was sick on the sofa Lana decided to climb up the first 4 stairs to the area that she usually commands. She somehow went tumbling down. I don't know how I got there as fast as I did jumping over laundry and a laundry basket along with all the toys along the way, but I managed to get there before her head landed on the foam at the bottom. My hand cupped her head, but still she was scared and started crying. Poor baby girl got scared, but not injured. Thank God!

This didn't stop her though today she's at the stairs again, but I'm right behind her! :)
